Our advice for your baby’s sleep

Establish a sleep routine

Try to establish a sleep routine for your baby, giving him regular signals that it’s time to sleep.

Create a comfortable sleep environment: Make sure your baby’s room is comfortable and safe, with an appropriate temperature, dimmed lighting and quiet background noise.

Promote natural sleep

Encourage your baby to fall asleep on his own, rather than rocking him or holding him in your arms until he falls asleep.

Be patient: Babies’ sleep patterns can be irregular, and it may take some time for your baby to adjust to a regular sleep routine. Be patient and don’t worry if your baby doesn’t fall asleep right away.

Avoid stimuli before bedtime

Avoid stimulating your baby before bedtime, by avoiding games or exciting activities, and by reducing light and noise.

Listen to your sleep needs

New parents can find themselves with little sleep, so it’s important to take care of yourself and get as much rest as possible to avoid exhaustion.

Consult a health professional if necessary

If you have persistent problems getting your baby to sleep, or if you notice any signs of insomnia or disturbed sleep, it’s important to consult a healthcare professional for advice and appropriate treatment.
